When a buddy of mine had to section ways with her African Juju hat wall decor (you don’t want to know), she was in the market for a replacement. It is been a though given that I have been crafty and what superior time than the new year for a new commence?! Perfect timing. A best possibility to aim on the beneficial and to deliver some superior juju to a close friend.

Elements I employed (referral inbound links):

cardboard circle (could very easily make just one from recycled cardboard much too, in particular if you’ve been procrastinating the holiday clear up!)

• feather trim ( procured 2 of this feather trim and 1 of this feather fringe trim)

What I did:

I found the centre of my cardboard circle. From there, I drew a straight line to the outer edge.

Using scissors, I slash together the line.

Up coming, utilizing sizzling glue along 1 side of the cut, I glued the other aspect slightly on major to make a little bit of a ‘bowl’-form. It is extremely slight…just more than enough to give it a 3D seem.

For the centre, insert a coordinating or same shade silk flower. Or, like me, take a little bit of leftover trim and roll to make a “center” piece. Attach with very hot glue.

Fill in with specific feathers as necessary.

Attach hanging system of selection to the back again with warm glue.

I’m hooked and approach to generate various extra! More feather trim as been ordered! I need a fluffier a person! A feather boa would do the job as well (while a tiny messier)!
